ST ALBANS — The news in Franklin County is coming full circle.
Emerson Lynn, publisher of the St. Albans Messenger, appears poised to achieve what newspaper publishers around the country have been trying to do for more than a decade: harness the power of the Internet to complement, not decimate, his print publication.
Lynn has registered and launched individual community “iTown” websites for every community in Franklin County and a few outside of it, bringing local news back to what he calls a “hyper-local” level while at the same time creating a symbiotic relationship with the Messenger as the flagship.
